Summary
Illinois Bone and Joint Institute is currently seeking a full time DME Services Coordinator based at our Westmont office.
Responsibility
- Coordinates patient fitting and treatment activities in the clinic setting.
- Ensures all necessary medical records/x-rays/reports/forms, etc. related to the patient's DME product fitting and billing are available for precertification.
- Provides patient care as per physician's direction/orders.
- Assists physician and physician's staff with DME fitting and patient follow up.
- Monitors and ensures the accurate completion of patient charge tickets that have been fitted by DME Coordinator.
- Reinforces patient/family education and processes.
- Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner.
- Serves as a liaison between Administration, Physicians and staff ensuring that all staff within the department are viewed/treated as "team" members.
- Is supportive of Managers/departments responsibilities/needs and promotes cooperative efforts between departments.
- Communicates with all staff all changes in policies and procedures with regard to DME operations as assigned.
- Ensures the availability/accessibility of DME in order to satisfy physician and clinical staff requirements
- Ensures that HOA's DME Organizational Policy and Procedure Manual is made available to all staff for review.
- Assist with tracking of DME billing/reimbursements.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree and/or ATC Certification preferred
- DME experience preferred.
- Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Active driver's license to travel between HOA Offices
Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience. Salary Description
$22-$24/hour based on education & experience
