This Role

This role reports into our Westmont, Illinois location with hybrid reporting.

What We Need

The Marketing Strategy Manager is responsible for supporting Baldwin Richardson Foods’ key food service and retail customers by driving issue-oriented customer‑specific insight work; translating broad, cross‑customer insights, trends, and category knowledge to identify and address customer opportunities. Additionally, this role is integral in studying and analyzing market conditions to find white spaces to fuel BRF’s long‑term and sustainable growth through our capabilities and vast portfolio of products.

They will support the department in the strategic planning process across food service and retail channels to position BRF to win in core, new and emerging markets. They will track and report on portfolio and industry trends to stay ahead of an always‑evolving environment.

What You Will Do

Position Responsibilities

  • Oversees and supports the strategic insights for select key Food service and Retail customers. Builds strategic relationships with customers through the delivery of actionable insights.
  • High involvement with BRF’s retail own brands and the development and maintenance of the strategy of each brand.
  • Own and lead the research component of the Culinary Council, a cross‑functional taskforce with the culinary team and key suppliers.
  • Owns ongoing trend tracking for food service, retail, our categories, + beyond; will deliver yearly trend presentation to BRF & quarterly summaries.
  • Owns the organization and socialization of Strategic Marketing knowledge platform.
  • Supports the innovation process by presenting data and insights that validate a product pipeline that aligns with BRF’s capabilities, customer strategies, and needs/desires of end consumers.
  • Supports customer marketing insight “pushes” to engage with current and future customers.
Key Capabilities
  • Gather, analyze, and present marketing insights that validate growth opportunities for BRFs Retail, Industrial and Food service segments and customers.
  • Builds insights and a compelling story to drive action by synthesizing intelligence from different areas/categories and linking disparate learnings.
  • Recognizes unique or relevant insights upon which new/innovative concepts can be built for the company or our customers.
  • Makes decisions consistent with the direction of the strategic and innovation plans.
  • Clearly communicates and embodies BRF’s brand equity to internal and external audiences.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred – business or social sciences.
  • A minimum of seven (7+) years of marketing research and analytics related experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Syndicated Data experience:
    Proficient in NIQ, CREST, or similar data platforms.
  • Prior experience in either Food service or Retail industry. Both are a plus.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Must have strong ability to translate research and trends into actionable insights for the organization and its customers, by applying data…
