Position: Project Coordinator (Prestress & Precast)

Position

We are seeking a Project Coordinator for County Prestress & Precast, LLC at Westmont, IL.

Job Duties
  • Review estimate, contract and contract documents (drawings, specifications, addenda, etc.) to become familiar with project.
  • Prepare erection drawings in general conformance with the contract documents and in accordance with our contract.
  • Develop and detail project to reduce costs to the company, owner and/or erector.
  • Compare actual project being drawn with estimate at bid sheet and alert project manager/engineer and estimator of quantity or material deviations.
  • Prepare or coordinate preparation of piece drawings a minimum of two days prior to their production dates.
  • Order embed plates and loose material well before it is required so material can be fabricated, assembled and delivered.
  • Schedule bed production based on production efficiencies and project requirements.
  • In conjunction with Project Manager/Engineer, act as a liaison between the company and contractor, owner and erector.
  • Maintain contact with customer in order to meet erection and production schedules.
  • Discuss production of non-typical products with Plant Management prior to casting.
  • Monitor production and progress at the job site as appropriate.
  • Work closely with Project Manager/engineer to solve casting and field problems.
  • Assist other Project Coordinators when they have schedule conflicts.
  • Chair Pre-Pour Production meetings when project complexity dictates.
  • Check piece drawings when required or requested.
  • Can be responsible for coordinating and verifying the work of Project Designer.
  • Work with Project Engineers during development of erection drawings and piece tickets.
  • Work with all other County Prestress departments to promote a strong working relationship.
  • Be closely involved with the company Project Management and Production Departments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external engineers, architects and contractors as required or requested.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Education – AutoCAD or Revit certification, or Autodesk certified
  • Knowledge and Skills – Detailed experience in precast concrete drafting and detailing. Extensive ability to read and comprehend contract drawings and perform AutoCAD or Revit tasks as directed
  • Previous Experience – Relevant experience in precast is required
  • Additional Skills – Knowledge of Lec Wall would be a plus
