We are looking for a creative, talented, and self-starting intern to temporarily join our Applications Group to work on special projects to utilize GT software in new and innovative ways. Gamma Technologies develops GT-SUITE and GT-Auto Lion. GT-SUITE is sophisticated desktop software packages for simulating almost any kind of engineering multi-physics system, such as those arising in the automotive, aerospace, and other industries, involving fluid, thermal, mechanical, electromagnetics, chemical and controls elements.

GT-Auto Lion, built upon the Newman Pseudo-2D framework, provides an additional physics-based model of Lithium-ion and Lithium-metal cells for modeling performance, degradation, and safety of energy storage systems. These tools also utilize a sophisticated set of user interfaces including map-based and 3D-based pre- and post-processors.

What You Will Do

• Build out demonstration models for demonstrating model-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, and hardware-in-the-loop applications
• Help build out technical collateral and marketing collateral to help communicate the value of GT software for BMS engineering teams

What You Will Bring

• Applicant must be currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical, or energy) or materials science (or similar)
• Minimum 2 years completed in undergraduate studies
• Basic exposure to battery technology and ideally battery modeling techniques
• The expected hourly range for this role is $28.00 – $42.00. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Hourly rates are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
• The Intern will be required to work onsite at our corporate office in Westmont, Illinois five (5) days per week.
• The selected candidate must be able to self-provide housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
