The Project Checker will provide drawing and detail checking and will assist Project Managers and Project Coordinators as required.

• Review estimate, contract, and contract documents (drawings, specifications, addenda, etc.) to become familiar with the project.
• Check erection drawings and piece tickets against contract documents, approval drawings and mark‑ups.
• Suggest or modify detail to reduce costs to County Prestress, owner, and/or erector.
• Compare actual project drawings with estimate at bid sheet and alert Project Manager/Engineer and Estimator of quantity or material deviations.
• Ensure piece drawings are available a minimum of two days prior to their production dates.
• Ensure embed plates and loose material are checked well before they are required so material can be fabricated, assembled, and delivered.
• Stay in continual contact with Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and Project Scheduler to meet erection and production schedules.
• Responsible for checking dimensions and scope of work of drawings and details prepared by others.
• Work closely with Project Engineers and Project Coordinators during development of erection drawings and piece tickets.
• Work with all other County Prestress departments to promote a strong working relationship.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external engineers, architects, contractors as required.

• Standing / Walking / Climbing.

• Education – AutoCAD or Revit certification, or Autodesk certified.
• Bachelor's or associate degree.
• Detailed experience in precast concrete drafting and detailing. Extensive ability to read and comprehend contract drawings.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in prestress.
• Knowledge of Lec Wall would be a plus.
