Project Accountant

We are investing in a Project Accountant role. This role is perfect for a team player who has construction industry accounting experience, is detail oriented, curious, enjoys problem solving and driving process improvements.

We’re looking for you to do the following:

• Drive the monthly customer billing process, including communication with various customers regarding their requirements needed for payment
• Preparation of G702/G703 payment applications and lien waivers
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow-up on overdue balances as warranted
• Process subcontractor payments accurately and within assigned timelines
• Collect and track contract and compliance documents
• Generate reports including Payroll, A/R and A/P
• Participate in Job Close-out process
• Be a driver of process improvement and implementation of new functionality in our ERP system
• Assist in other accounting functions, such as:
• G/L account monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations
• Month-end and year-end accounting close process
• Assistance with the annual audit
• Participation in the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures

You Have:

• Knowledge of construction industry project accounting
• Minimum of two to five years’ experience as a Project Accountant
• Extensive experience in project invoicing and billing and subcontract management
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to interact with varying levels of internal project management staff and external business partners
• Strong organization skills with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple concurrent assignments
• Degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent experience
