Part-Time Courier

The Courier will receive and pick up mail, packages, documents, messages, and other items, and deliver them to specified recipients or locations.

This position generally works 7am-1pm on Fridays but will also fill in for other couriers as needed.

$15-$16 per hour.

• Checks message board prior to starting daily routine.
• Securely delivers mail, packages, documents, and other items to intended location or recipient in a timely manner.
• Processes outgoing mail and securely delivers to the Post Office.
• Plans the most efficient and expedient delivery route from place to place; organizes deliveries accordingly. (see attached schedule)
• May perform office, clerical, and other related duties as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Securely delivers daily deposits to the bank and returns deposit receipts to Customer Service.
• Runs small machinery (i.e. postal machine, folder/inserter).

• Basic understanding of customer service.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to maintain the safety and security of packages, documents, messages, and other items received or being delivered.
• Thorough understanding of maps and directions, and traffic rules.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver’s license and clean driving record required.

• Prolonged periods driving a vehicle.
• Must be able to quickly enter and exit vehicles and/or buildings.
• Must be able to perform deliveries in all types of weather.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
