As the Program Coordinator for Community Engagement, you will use a trauma informed approach to facilitate community partnerships in high poverty communities to reduce child poverty and increase economic mobility. Working under the direction of the Local Management Board Manager, you will assess community needs, coordinate resources, collect and report data, and support organizations in identifying and applying for grant opportunities.
EssentialDuties
- Assess the needs of higher poverty communities. Coordinate resources that address identified needs.
- Support organizations in identifying and applying for grant opportunities. Connect organizations with training and resources to build capacity for effective grant management.
- Provide training or training resources to organizations that strengthen their capacity for collaborative action related to education, health, workforce, housing, and community safety.
- Find and connect organizations with resources to develop programs.
- Coordinate and support community coalitions. Provide technical assistance to community organizations.
- Facilitate community outreach programs and opportunities for community engagement that support the reduction of child poverty and increased economic mobility.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with community members and agencies. Provide a trauma-informed approach to services.
- Prepare narrative and data reporting for program activities and outcomes.
- Ensure all work is complete and timely to support department goals. Evaluate feedback and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Invite collaboration and seek learning opportunities. Proactively assist peers to create a supportive work environment.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human services, organizational development, or a related field
- Three or more years of related experience
- A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
