Eaton Aerospace and Mission Systems Division is seeking a Production and Fabrication Technician for our Westminster, MD Facility. Their work directly supports the building and creation of hardware that enables:

• Safety of our Warfighters
• Firefighters and first responders to save lives
• Aircraft to land
• Rockets to launch
• Satellites to orbit the earth
• Astronauts to perform research

• Preparing pressure vessel liners for production through a cleaning and taping process
• Aerosol painting pressure vessels
• Sanding cured pressure vessels
• UV coating and preparing pressure vessels for testing process
• Ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities
• Complying with all work and process instructions
• Participating in 5S cell efforts and continuous improvement
• Identifying improvement opportunities
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job
• Working safely and reporting all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures
• Completing and maintaining training to meet the required level of certified elements in the position
• Properly managing the traceability of components to ensure accuracy

Required

• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience OR 1 year of military experience
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred

• HS Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology
• Assembly or Test experience in a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts
• Experience with various types of industrial machinery equipment and tools such as lathes, curing ovens, thermal or life cycling machines, sanding and industrial painting tools, and standard hand tools
