JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for stripping, buffing and waxing floor surfaces throughout the hospital in accordance with safety and sanitation practices set forth by guidelines provided. May also assist with general housekeeping duties such as room/office cleaning, restroom maintenance, trash collection, or other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Dust mops and wet mops all floor areas according to departmental standards.
- Machine scrubs, waxes and spray buffs resilient floor time areas according to departmental standards per schedule and/or annual competencies.
- Vacuums spot cleans, bonnet buffs and extracts carpet areas according to departmental standards per schedule and/or annual competencies.
- Performs daily, weekly, monthly assigned cleaning according to department standards per schedule and/or annual competencies.
- Washes walls, light fixtures, doors, window frames etc.
- Ability to plan and execute floor care projects with minimal guidance from the supervisor/manager of EVS.
- Effective interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to communicate housekeeping activities with patients, staff and visitors.
- Prior floor tech experience.
