Are you looking to join a vibrant lesson studio to further your teaching career? Menchey Music Service, the area’s largest family‑owned music store, has over 80 studios across our 8 locations. We’re seeking qualified teachers to join our Menchey School of Music team.

Part‑time

As a private lesson teacher you will primarily offer one‑on‑one private lessons while collaborating with staff to create a fun environment for students to discover their passion for music.

• Teach music to students of all ability levels in a way that makes them excited to learn!
• Communicate effectively with students and parents about progress and needs.
• Work with staff and community of musicians to build a lesson experience beyond the practice room.
• Use the online scheduler to track attendance, assign practice, and record progress.
• Complete weekly timesheets and perform required training and compliance tasks.

• Two (2) years of college‑level music experience or five (5) years of music teaching/performance experience or a combination of both.
• Possess an understanding of music concepts and theory and be able to communicate effectively to students of all ages.
• Outgoing and enthusiastic personality aligned with our culture and mission.
• Patience to work with students of all ages and abilities.
• Specialty in one or more instruments.

• A bachelor’s degree (or degree in progress) in music education or performance or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Experience working with youth and/or beginner musicians.

$30 – $36 per hour, depending on education & experience
