- Identify, organize, and prioritize new target accounts to meet strategic business initiatives. Potential accounts include short line railroads, distributors, repair centers, etc.
- Develop and maintain customer accounts through regular personal visits, as well as telephone and written correspondence. Establish professional and personal relationships with key decision makers at each account.
- Assist in creating customer quotations, compiling historical sales data and trends, customer service, and sales forecasting.
- Promote and facilitate the negotiation and presentation of proposals, receipt of purchases, orders, and assist the customer with expediting activity in cooperation with NYAB, Anchor Brake Shoe, and Snyder Equipment.
- Coordinate communication and visitation activity including NYAB Marketing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Field Service departments at responsible customer accounts.
- Update and maintain small customer price lists for distribution on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with Customer Service to ensure pricing is maintained in SAP.
- Identify and track new product opportunities for NYAB, Anchor Brake Shoe, and Snyder Equipment.
- Lead or assist special projects to improve the Rail Service group operations.
- Periodically review overall customer order activity to identify accounts with decreased order activity and develop corrective action plans.
- Assist in resolving open customer issues including past due payments or material delivery concerns.
- Provide customers with technical bulletins, catalogs, price lists, and other materials as available.
- Understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies; adhere to relevant statutory or regulatory requirements; support Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
- Understand and support relevant KPIs as defined in the goal tree.

- Required Education and Experience
:
Bachelor’s Degree; 5-7+ years of directly relevant experience in the Rail industry. - Preferred Education and Experience
: MBA; 7+ years of Rail Industry experience. - Knowledge of freight and locomotive brake products and systems, AAR, FRA regulations, requirements, and related publications.
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- The employee may be required to perform duties on a computer terminal and may be exposed to shop floor conditions (noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt).
- Travel up to 50-75%.

Benefits and Compensation- Salary range:
The anticipated range for Maryland is $89,900–$134,900 per year. Final pay depends on experience, education, and other factors. - Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic life, disability, 401(k), extra voluntary coverages.
