This Police Data Analyst involves highly responsible administrative, operational, and professional work serving as the Police Department’s primary data and performance analytics expert. The Police Data Analyst is responsible for transforming complex public safety, operational, staffing, and performance data into accurate, actionable insights for executive leadership, command staff, and the community, including the development and maintenance of dashboards, performance measures, forecasting models, staffing and workload analyses, and public-facing transparency tools.

This role plays a critical part in data governance, quality assurance, policy evaluation, and strategic decision-making across departmental operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic analytical thinker, technically fluent in modern data platforms, and an exceptional communicator who can translate complex public safety data into clear, actionable insight for leadership and the community.

The full salary range for this position is stated above. The starting range of pay is dependent on qualifications and experience of each individual candidate. The City of Westminster has a Multilingual Stipend Program to encourage, and reward benefited employees who are conversationally fluent in languages other than English. Benefited employees have the opportunity to test their language proficiency skills and qualify for a bi-weekly stipend that will vary based on the employee’s level of proficiency and usage.
