We’re excited to offer a unique summer internship opportunity for high school students entering their senior year, designed to introduce them to the trades and offer hands‑on exposure to a future career in the mechanical industry.

Our Summer Shop Interns will work in one of our three fabrication shop areas:
Sheet Metal, Plumbing, and Pipe fitting. This is an entry‑level role that provides valuable exposure to real‑world tools, materials, and work environments in a professional mechanical shop. Interns will assist experienced tradespeople and shop staff with basic tasks and learn foundational skills that could lead to a rewarding career in the trades.

• Work hours - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday - 8 hours each day and based in our Westminster Fabrication Shop
• Shadow and assist shop team members in various departments
• Learn about the tools, materials, and processes used in mechanical fabrication
• Organize, clean, and prepare materials and tools for projects
• Observe safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Gain hands‑on exposure to basic shop tasks (e.g., material handling, basic measurements, tool identification)
• Participate in shop tours, safety talks, and optional educational sessions

• Current high school juniors entering their senior year
• Must be enrolled in the CTE or Building Trades Programs at your school
• PACT Core Certifications, and OSHA 10
• Interest in construction, fabrication, or hands‑on mechanical work
• Willingness to learn and follow safety rules
• Ability to work on your feet in a fast‑paced environment
• Dependable, team‑oriented, and respectful
• Parental/guardian permission and reliable transportation to Westminster, CO
