Overview

Join Covenant Living, the nation’s sixth‑largest nonprofit senior living provider, to make a difference in the lives of older adults. We are seeking Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPNs/LVNs) to support assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care facilities.

• Assist routine daily direction and monitor the work of nursing assistants, ensuring a high standard of nursing care.
• Help orient new LPN/LVNs and nursing assistants; reinforce training standards to maintain quality of care.
• Provide explanations of nursing procedures and assist staff to maintain understanding and training.
• Communicate regularly with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing about observations, problem areas, resident and employee activities, concerns, needs, and conditions.
• Observe and evaluate residents’ health, mental and emotional conditions; communicate significant changes to appropriate staff, physicians, and families as required.
• Provide direct patient care, including procedures such as catheter placement and care, colostomy care, suction, dressings, naso‑gastric tubes, and other treatments.
• Participate in reporting at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure proper information about residents is communicated.
• Assist in the admission, orientation, and observation of new residents; ensure physician orders for diets, therapy, medication, etc., are transcribed and communicated according to procedure.

• Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
• Current license, in good standing, as an LPN/LVN in the state.
• One year nursing experience.
• Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.

Pay range: $33.60 – $41.90 per hour.
