Introduction to all levels of mechanical design for commercial, government, academic, R&D, multi‑family, and industrial projects, including the development of construction documents.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Direction
- Perform work under direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures and clearly defined processes.
At the Operational and Company Level
- Interact with multiple departments and peers within the organization and participate in intern program learning and development opportunities.
Do the Work
- Shadow and support commissioning engineers/agents on active projects
- Develop and edit FPTs (Functional Performance Tests)
- Review plans and submittals with a commissioning lens
- Provide field support for prefunctional and functional testing
- Conduct data collection and documentation during tests
- Assist with building envelope testing
- Conduct field observations visits to accurately document the existing field conditions and prepare reports and closeout support
- Communicate effectively with engineers, project manager, and occasionally the client
- Review and learn codes applicable to the discipline
- Willingness and eagerness to learn.

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required.
- Enrolled in an ABET‑accredited degree program, preferably in a mechanical, construction or architectural engineering program of study.
- Interest in MEP design as a future career path.
- Introductory study or knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, Trane Trace, and/or eQuest modeling software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Must be at least 18 years old.

Salary and eligible variable compensation (if any) commensurate with experience. Range $18.00 - $20.00/hour.
