Who You Are

Faculty are responsible for providing quality education including class instruction, class-related work, and performing other professional duties which may include, but are not limited to, advising students; mentoring and supporting part-time instructors; serving on institution-wide committees and statewide task forces; recruiting students; sponsoring student activities; providing job placement and community outreach services; participating in professional organizations which enhance the educational mission of the college;

and developing innovative approaches to learning.

The primary focus of this Anatomy & Physiology Faculty position is teaching and curriculum development for majors and non-majors in Biology. Course responsibilities may include Anatomy & Physiology, Cadaver Dissection, Microbiology, and/or Pathophysiology, all of which are offered both face-to-face and online. The School of Science places a high value on collaboration, inclusive teaching practices, active learning, and student-centered pedagogy.

You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop an innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success are your top priority. You willutilizetechnology and effective teaching strategies to develop students' critical thinking skills.

You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College.

This position does require a strong on-campus presence at Larimer Campus and may require occasional travel to the other two FRCC campuses.

SELECTION PROCESS:

The selection process for the Anatomy & Physiology Faculty will be conducted through a competitive, merit-based evaluation of all qualified applicants. * A one-page statement of your teaching philosophy; and

* A list of courses and the semesters you have taught (if applicable).

Qualifications

Required Education/Training &

Work Experience:

* AMaster'sdegree in one of several related degrees listed below.

OR

* AMaster'sdegree in any field, plus 18 graduate credits in one of the related degrees listed below.

Related Degree:

Biology, a biology-related discipline such as, Agricultural Sciences, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Biology, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, Biology/Science Education (maximum of 6 graduate credits can be applied to the 18 required), Biomedical Sciences, Biosciences, Biotechnology, Botany, Cancer Biology,Cardiophysiology, Cell Biology, Conservation-Wildlife/Plant/Animal, Developmental Biology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Evolutionary Biology, Embryology, Entomology, Environmental Science, Environmental Biology, Ecology, Forestry, Genetics, Immunology,…
