The Academy is currently hiring an Assistant Coach, Defense Coordinator for High School Football. We are a 3A school in a 2A football league.

Application Requirements:
- Copy of two current letters of recommendation and current certifications are highly recommended but not required with initial application
- Experience in the sport is required and experience as a coach is preferred
- Stipend will be $5,700.00
- Stipend will be paid August - November 2026

Responsible for providing for a safe and secure school environment, fostering an optimal learning environment and acting as a deterrent to unsafe or poor behavior by patrolling the field, monitoring student behavior, enforcing school, District, and CHSAA policies, intervening in physical encounters, monitoring visitors, reporting unsafe or unhealthy conditions and assisting administrators and/or public officials with emergency or investigative situations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience with coaching
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- Current CPR, First Aid and AED certifications.
- 1 year registered CHSAA or PERM Coach certification.
- Current CHSAA certifications required.
- Knowledgeable in sport.
- Common sense, problem solving, mediation skills and mature attitude.
- Ability to respond to hostile situations and intervene in physical altercations.
- Ability to work with large groups of students, including students with special needs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations.
- Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies, Authorizer policies and building and department procedures.
- Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
- Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals.
- Operating knowledge of information technology systems and any other department specific software and equipment required within 2 months after entering position.
- Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the behavior and safety of students on school grounds.
