Ticketing and Information Officer

Overview

We are looking to appoint a Ticketing & Information Officer to the Welcome Team. This role will involve you meeting and greeting visitors to the Abbey. You will ensure our visitors receive a warm Abbey welcome at all times, whilst also issuing tickets, selling add-ons such as tours and guide books, and handling cash/credit card transactions.

This is a frontline, customer-focused role that will require you to provide excellent customer service within a fast-paced, demanding setting, as well as taking responsibility for general ticketing/cashier duties.

The role is uniformed and will require you to abide by the Abbey’s uniform guidelines whilst on duty.

• Meet and greet visitors to the Abbey.
• Issue tickets, sell add-ons such as tours and guide books.
• Handle cash/credit card transactions.
• Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.
• Take responsibility for general ticketing/cashier duties.

14 hours per week. The full time equivalent hours are 35 hours per week.

The full-time holiday entitlement is 33 days per annum, including recognised public holidays.

On-site training will be provided in all aspects of the job. Any further training needs will be assessed through the probation period and in annual appraisals.

All employees can join a Group Personal Pension plan, where the minimum employee contribution is 3% and themaximumemployer contribution is 9% (asdeterminedby the level of the employee contribution). You will beauto-enrolled into our qualifying workplace pension scheme after 3months, ifyou meet the eligibility criteria.
