Position Summary
Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates while touring stores and providing feedback. Collaborate with all levels of associates to communicate store operations, utilize technology and business initiatives, and implement merchandising and company direction. Lead company change efforts and provide clear expectations and guidance to execute business solutions and communicate objectives to the team.
Responsibilities- Model and demonstrate exceptional customer‑service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
- Manage and support customer service initiatives, including store‑of‑the‑community programs and outreach, ensuring complaints and issues are resolved efficiently.
- Drive financial performance by reviewing profit‑and‑loss statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses; monitor merchandise presentation and inventory flow.
- Develop and provide supervision, training, and mentoring for hourly associates; hire, assign duties, set expectations, and recognize performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethics; support the Open Door Policy and provide guidance on applying policies.
- Create a workplace culture of belonging, respect for diversity, and continuous improvement.
- 2 years of college, OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience, OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Required completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training for firearms‑selling facilities.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition, a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
- Must attend and complete all job‑required trainings and assessments.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U.
- Bellevue University Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U.
- Supervision of five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
