?? Up to 100,000 to 118,000 annual salary (DOE)
??: Full-Time, Direct Hire

We're looking for an IT Application Engineer who thrives in a hands-on development environment and enjoys building, enhancing, and supporting business applications. This role partners closely with business teams to design solutions, streamline processes, and deliver high-quality software that supports day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do

• End-to-end application development-from requirements and design to coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and functional solutions.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing applications to improve performance and reliability.
• Conduct QA and user acceptance testing to ensure smooth adoption.
• Write and maintain documentation for users and IT operations.
• Support ongoing application maintenance, updates, and integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-visibility projects.
• Stay current on development tools, emerging technologies, and best practices.

What You Bring

• Experience with:
• IBM Power Systems & IBM i (RPGLE)
• DB2, MS SQL Server, relational databases
• SQL development
• APIs (REST/XML/JSON)
• Software change management
• Bonus skills: C#, C++, PHP, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, EDI X12, EDIFACT
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical partners.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in fast-moving environments.

• 6+ years in application development or architecture.
• Proven success delivering complex, high-impact projects.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
