The Sr. Fabrication Specialist fabricates orthoses and prostheses to provide maximum fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship. The Sr. Fabrication Specialist is expected to keep abreast of all new fabricating techniques and must be familiar with the properties of pertinent materials and must be skilled in the use of appropriate equipment.

• Perform fabrication and repair of orthotic and/or prosthetic devices, according to company quality and quantity standards.
• Perform ordering, receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• Maintain 5S to ensure a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
• Train new employees.

• High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of related experience OR
• Without a high school diploma/GED, 6 years of experience working within O&P environments that include machinery, tools, design, fabrication, componentry, etc. OR
• A technical degree in Orthotics & Prosthetics from an accredited school and 7 years of related experience.

• Substantial understanding of job and applies knowledge and hand skills needed to fabricate and repair prostheses and orthoses according to specifications.
• Ability to independently complete all general orthotic or prosthetic devices from start to finish with more than two different types of componentry (expert in either orthotics or prosthetic devices).
• Works independently to develop methods and procedures for new assignments and communicates them effectively to the Sr. Supervisor.
• Perform tasks as indicated on following skills matrix and contribute to quality and safety standards.
• Continuous improvement facilitator—suggests new tools, safety measures, and improves orders.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, organizational, time‑management and planning skills.
• Adheres to integrity, transparency, and respect in all relationships and keeps the patient at the center of everything.

Pay range: $34.78 – $52.14 per hour + bonus + benefits (posted to comply with State Law). Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
