Production Technician - Shift

Overview

As a Production Technician, you operate equipment to manufacture plastic containers for leading consumer brands. • Up to $18.00/hour and overtime after 40 hours a week
• Rotational Schedules. 12-hour rotating shifts, know your schedule for the full year and beyond
• Night Shift: 7:48pm - 8:00am

• Operate a variety of top-of-the-line extrusion and blow-molding manufacturing equipment in a clean, safe and climate-controlled environment
• Monitor equipment, making adjustments to settings (heat control, water cooling temperatures, hydraulic pressure, etc.) to produce high-quality rigid plastic containers
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance
• Assure Plastipak customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications, such as bottle weights and dimensions
• Join with your team to identify continuous improvement opportunities focused on safety, reliability, quality and scrap reduction
• Grow your skills through formal and side-by-side training, and have opportunities for career advancement

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Manufacturing Production Technician working with equipment used for high-volume production
• Working knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment is preferred
• Hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical mechanical basic knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
