Job Description:

SUMMARY

Grows and develops customer service skills by providing students and the general public community support and assistance. Develops an understanding of student and community needs to provide professional assistance to students and the community in support of student success. Develops relationships with new students and continuing students at Tri-C encouraging and supporting their success at Tri-C.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Supports student success activities
  • Provides student success information and connections to campus resources through class visits and campus email
  • Provides assistance to peers in navigating campus services and enrollment processes at Tri-C
  • Acquires familiarity with campus operations, facilities, student services and My TriC Space; greets and assists students at key Student Services areas, conducting campus tours, and serving as host/hostesses at campus events and activities
  • Makes class visits as needed
  • Provides overall excellent customer service to students and members of the community
  • Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
  • Completion of at least six credit hours at Tri-C
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Consistently maintains six credit hours each semester
  • Maintains satisfactory academic progress
KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail
  • Ability to organize work and set priorities within a general structure
  • Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity

  • Possess basic-level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment;
