Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (or as business needs require)

Position Summary

The Senior Demand Planner is a senior individual contributor responsible for demand forecast quality, insight generation, and decision support across complex or high-impact portfolios.

This role is accountable not only for forecast accuracy, but for providing demand insights and scenario analysis that enable leadership decision-making. The Senior Demand Planner partners closely with Commercial Teams, Principal Managers, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) leadership, and provides functional guidance and planning support to cross-functional partners, including S&OP Analysts, Supply Planners, and Procurement, to ensure demand signals are clearly understood and executable.

Job Functions
  • Lead demand forecasting for complex, high impact, or multi-business-unit portfolios, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with Commercial Teams and Principal Managers to validate assumptions, challenge demand inputs, and align on demand expectations and risks.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy, bias, and demand variability, leading root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and present demand insights, scenarios, and recommendations to support S&OP and leadership decision-making.
  • Provide functional guidance, knowledge sharing, and planning support to cross-functional partners (e.g., S&OP Analysts, Supply Planners, Procurement) to improve forecast understanding and execution quality.
  • Enhance demand planning governance, tools, and processes in partnership with Supply Chain Excellence to improve forecast quality and decision readiness.
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain roles.
Additional Experience
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing complex demand profiles or principal portfolios with multiple constraints and trade‑offs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Advanced demand forecasting and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong ability to translate commercial inputs into structured, decision‑ready demand insights.
  • Ability to facilitate alignment and influence outcomes without formal authority.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including executive-level storytelling.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including service, inventory, and working‑capital trade‑offs.
  • Ability to operate independently and lead through ambiguity in complex environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in specialty chemicals, ingredients, or distribution-based supply chains.
  • Experience supporting or operating within formal S&OP, SIOP, or IBP frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP / planning systems (SAP, JDE, Oracle, Kinaxis, o9, etc.).
Work Environment &

Physical Requirements

Primarily desk-based work in an office or hybrid environment.
Regular use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, collaboration tools).
Minimal travel expected (
