What You’ll DoAs an Automotive Sales Consultant / Auto Sales Representative, you sell and lease new and used vehicles at one of our automobile dealerships. You are eager and driven, ethical and honest, and you love meeting new people and making personal connections. You greet customers in the showroom or on the lot, explain features and benefits of each vehicle, and discuss financing and leasing options.
You listen, ask the right questions, and find solutions to customers’ needs. You prepare and submit all paperwork professionally, ensure vehicles are ready for delivery, and follow up with prospects. You maintain current knowledge of vehicles and the auto industry, and you believe in treating customers well to encourage repeat business and referrals. You strive to meet and exceed gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards set by sales management, and you enjoy healthy competition within the team.
for an Automotive Sales Consultant / Auto Sales Representative
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Acceptable driving record
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to quickly learn and remember the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales
- Ability to understand equity and values, as well as explain depreciation to customers
- Sales ability
Any sales experience would be helpful. Our higher-volume dealerships may require more experience. Are you customer-oriented? Do you want a long-term career, not just a job? Work ScheduleThe schedule for this full-time position can vary, depending on business needs. You would generally work 40+ hours in 5 days per week
