Mac Kay Ace Hardware & Rental, your local hardware store, is looking for a talented and motivated Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier at Mac Kay Ace Hardware & Rental, you will be the face of our store, managing transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for all customers.

• Managing transactions, making sure pricing is accurate
• Accepting payments and providing receipts

• Greeting customers when entering and leaving the premises
• Managing transactions using a cash register
• Balancing the cash register
• Scanning goods and ensuring pricing and quantities are accurate
• Accepting payments in cash, credit, or check
• Providing change and receipts
• Issuing coupons, vouchers, stamps, and gift cards
• Processing returns, refunds, and resolving customer complaints
• Bagging and wrapping purchased goods for safe transport
• Upselling and cross-selling when appropriate
• Answering and forwarding phone calls

• 2-3 Weekday shifts:
  Monday (8AM-12PM), Thursday (8AM-3PM), Friday (8AM-3PM).
• You’ll be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours).
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to effectively resolve complaints
