Role Overview

The Field Operations Manager owns execution, quality, and accountability across all active job sites. You will serve as the operational backbone between sales, production, and field crews, ensuring jobs areviable, properly executed, and completed on time to Mighty Dog Roofing standards.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role requiring daily field presence, strong people management skills, and decisive operational ownership. You will lead crews through direct support, enforce quality and safety standards, and act as thefinal pointof accountability for job outcomes, crew performance, and customer experience.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in roofing or exterior construction operations
  • Prior experience managing an operations team, including field crews, subcontractors, or direct reports
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable to performance, safety, and quality standards
  • Strong understanding of production workflows, scheduling, labor management, and job execution
  • Experience reviewing job scope, pricing accuracy, and production viability
  • Comfortable climbing roofs and working outdoors in varying conditions
  • Ability to manage multiple job sites and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong leadership presence with clear communication and conflict resolution skills
  • High levelof organization, urgency, and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites
Core Responsibilities

Job Turnover and Viability

  • Review sold jobs with Sales Representatives, Sales Manager, and Production leadership
  • Assess job scope, pricing accuracy, and overall job viability prior to scheduling
  • Confirm readiness including materials, labor, permits, and realistic timelines
  • Identify risks or gaps early and partner with leadership to resolve them
  • Provide final approval before jobs are released to the production schedule
Field Presence and Site Management
  • Maintain strong daily on-site presence across all active job sites
  • Perform roof inspections to verify work quality, safety, and progress
  • Capture photos and videos to document production and accountability
  • Ensure crews are staffed, prepared, and working efficiently
  • Verify availability of materials, tools, and equipment at each site
  • Address site issuesimmediatelyto prevent downtime or delays
Labor and Crew Management
  • Directly manage and support field crews and subcontractors
  • Conduct daily crew check-ins and provide hands-on leadership
  • Monitor crew morale, performance, and professionalism
  • Address performance issues, conflicts, or attendance concerns promptly
  • Reinforce company standards, expectations, and work ethic
  • Lead by example with urgency, accountability, and professionalism
Hands-On Field Support
  • Assist with trash removal, punch list items, and job closeout when needed
  • Step in to support urgent or understaffed jobs to keep production moving
  • Maintain a no-downtime mindset while in the field
  • Ensure smaller jobs and details are completed to standard
Client Communication and Collections
  • Communicate directly with homeowners on-site as needed
  • Address client concerns and manage expectations throughout production
  • Collect deposits and final payments when required
  • Ensure a positive, professional customer experience from start to finish
Quality Control and Accountability
  • Own overall production quality for all assigned jobs
  • Ensure work meets company standards and manufacturer requirements
  • Maintain complete andaccuratejob documentation
  • Serve as the final accountability point for job completion
  • Handle escalated field, crew, and client issues
Field Operations Tracking and Reporting
  • Maintain real-time awareness of all active job sites
  • Anticipate and prevent delays, bottlenecks, or production risks
  • Coordinate closely with production leadership tooptimizeworkflow
  • Provide clear daily field status updates and reporting
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Job completion timelines versus schedule
