ResponsibilitiesA Daily Duties:
- Accounting – Administers accounting policies and procedures for several accounting sections; ensures that accounting transactions are recorded and reported accurately and in a timely fashion to appropriate sources.
- Accounts Receivables – Maintains accounts receivable ledger and summarizes and settles balances with general ledger accounts.
- Payroll – Maintains necessary earnings and payroll records and prepares associated reports.
- Financial Reporting – Prepare Corporate Report Package; adjust entries; prepare vacation and sick accruals; balances books and compiles reports to show statistics and other items pertinent to operation of business; provide management with detailed cost data.
B Periodic Duties: (interval)
- Prepares Corporate Tax Package. (annually)
- Do collections calls. (as necessary)
- Do special projects for management. (as needed)
- Participates in office staff meetings. (weekly)
- Assist with the development of budgetary requirements for office functions. (monthly)
- Reviews office budget variances. (monthly)
- Requests insurance certificates. (as needed)
- Fulfill any other requests. (as needed)
C Duties Performed at Irregular Intervals:
- Prepares and maintains Money match funding contribution records.
- Communicates with Corporate office about questions on various concerns that may arise, i.e. legal, insurance, employee plans.
- Provides assistance to other departments.
- Maintains employment examination records and pre employment files.
- Completes and maintains records for COBRA and HIPPA.
- Reports any accidents to proper agencies.
A Associate Degree or equivalent.
B At least five year's experience in various accounting functions including the use of common office equipment.
Other Specific Demands of Position:
- A Able to work well without supervision.
- B Functional ability in a variety of computer software packages including LOTUS 1-2-3, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel or other similar programs.
- C Must exhibit flexibility in accepting assignments.
- D Frequently operates under strict deadlines to accomplish duties.
- E Frequent contacts with customers and contractors.
