OverviewRegistered Nurse for Busy Atlantic Urgent Care in Clark, NJ. This role involves clinical nursing care in an ambulatory setting with emphasis on patient safety, efficiency, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities- 2 - 12 hour shifts and 2 - 9 hour shifts. Hours can vary: 8am - 5pm or 11am - 8pm. Rotating every other weekend: 8am - 5pm / Saturday and Sunday.
- Assist management with maintaining par inventory levels in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Provide appropriate clinical actions using available resources to achieve positive outcomes for patients, visitors and staff. Independently prioritize daily tasks and assignments. Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes. Respond to urgent and unplanned situations appropriately.
- Make decisions to ensure patient safety and promote quality patient care.
- Utilize computer systems as required.
- Contribute as an integral member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team in providing patient care in ambulatory practices.
- Systematically collect and assess data related to patient health status to develop, execute and evaluate the plan of care.
- Utilize evidence to drive clinical decisions and practice related to individual and population health.
- Consider safety and effectiveness in planning and delivering care.
- Provide care in accordance with the NJ Nurse Practice Act.
- Successfully pass all required training to obtain security access (e.g., EMR training, department-specific competencies, among others).
- Ability to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served using the nursing process.
- Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on evidence-based care and a healing culture.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and computer skills; work in a highly specialized area with a focus on patient safety and efficiency.
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
- Valid NJ RN License
Preferred
- BSN highly preferred
- 3+ years experience in outpatient or ambulatory setting
- 2+ years in an acute care setting (preferably critical care or emergency department)
- BLS Certification required after hire
