Job Summary
Vantage at Westfield is looking for a Human Resource Generalist with Payroll experience in a Skilled Nursing Care Facility. The role involves ensuring employees are paid accurately, editing time cards daily, and processing payroll biweekly.
ResponsibilitiesDirect the human resources department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Assist in staffing decisions, evaluate employee performances, and recommend wage and salary adjustments, hiring, terminations, transfers, etc. Review all requests from department directors for new or replacement personnel, fill requests as approved, and arrange interviews, appointments, etc. Check applications and references of prospective employees and arrange interviews as required.
Maintain job applications for personnel eligible to work in the facility, and maintain confidentiality of all pertinent employee information in accordance with the Privacy Act and facility policies. Verify employee right‑to‑work documentation and file within specified time frame. Consult with department directors concerning staffing, eliminating/correcting problem areas, and improving services. Develop, implement, and maintain an adequate personnel record filing system that meets the facility’s needs and complies with current employment practices.
Prepare, recommend, and maintain records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data.
