Psychiatric Registered Nurse | Westfield, Massachusetts

This opportunity seeks a Registered Nurse with psychiatric experience to join a dynamic behavioral health team in Western Massachusetts. The role involves providing compassionate, patient-centered care in an inpatient psychiatric setting, supporting individuals with psychiatric and substance use challenges.

Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, including every other weekend and occasional holidays

• Deliver direct and indirect nursing care to patients and families within a safe, therapeutic environment
• Collaborate as an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team
• Assist in developing, implementing, and documenting individualized treatment plans based on patient strengths and psychiatric needs
• Maintain professional boundaries while building therapeutic relationships
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed and take charge responsibilities without additional multiplier
• Participate in crisis management, de-escalation, and restraint reduction efforts

• Current Massachusetts RN license required at time of application
• Minimum one year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience required
• BSN preferred
• CPR certification required
• Experience with trauma-informed recovery models, substance abuse treatment, and psychiatric nursing practices preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage stressful situations calmly and professionally
• Proficient with electronic medical records and basic computer skills
