Job Summary We are seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to join our automation and control engineering team. The candidate will design, code, simulate, and test PLC and HMI systems to enhance our industrial processes.
Essential FunctionsDetermine Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block.
- Design, develop, and maintain Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) systems in coordination with PLC systems.
- Debug and troubleshoot PLC and HMI software to ensure optimal system performance.
- Maintain and modify existing systems and provide post‑go‑live support.
- Interpret control system and HMI plans and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards.
- Coordinate with team members and departments on project development.
- Document and maintain PLC and HMI program revisions and updates.
- Train technical personnel and operators on system use and troubleshooting.
Education / Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or 4 years of related experience.
- Proven experience as a PLC Programmer, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency with Schneider Electric, Allen‑Bradley, Siemens PLC programming tools.
- Experience with HMI design and development tools.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and coordinate across departments.
- Understanding of industrial processes, machinery, and control systems.
- Willingness to travel to project locations when necessary.
- Compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Travel Up to 20% travel by personal vehicle to offices throughout New York and New England.
Work Environment/Physical Demands Professional office environment with standard office equipment. Mostly sedentary, with occasional walking, bending, or standing.
