Jobpurpose
Responsible for planning, executing, and documenting product and non-product software test activities in compliance with medical device regulations to ensure exceptional software product quality.
Duties and responsibilities- Work under the guidance of software test lead to conduct software testing activities including design and execution of software test plans and test cases to ensure that the software meets quality, reliability, and design requirements.
- Perform integration level testing of software within software/hardware systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to medical device software test projects (work instructions, test execution artifacts, traceability matrices, process checklists, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to gain a comprehensive understanding of software systems to create clear and effective test scenarios.
- Assist in identifying and reporting software defects. Collaborate with team members to validate and verify issue resolutions.
- Provide proactive, transparent, and concise communication on testing status.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience testing software against use cases and requirements
- Experience with Agile methodologies using tools such as JIRA.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team with a mindset of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Preferred:
Experience at a medical device company, or in a highly regulated field. - Preferred:
Experience testing mobile applications or embedded systems.
- Office and Laboratory Settings
- Ability to operate applicable test equipment in an office and laboratory setting.
