Irrigation Technician

Overview

As an Irrigation Technician you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and operational integrity of commercial and residential irrigation systems. This role requires technical proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing irrigation components—including piping, valves, controllers, and wiring. The position engages directly with customers and must consistently demonstrate professional communication, service excellence, and alignment with the organization’s standards for trust, integrity, and customer satisfaction.

• Diagnose, service, and repair all components of underground irrigation systems.
• Install, operate, program, and optimize lawn irrigation controllers.
• Troubleshoot system issues including electrical faults, leaks, pressure inconsistencies, and general maintenance needs.
• Provide high-quality customer engagement through effective communication and professional service delivery.
• Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and customer-centric approach at all times.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Perform additional duties or operational assignments as required.

• Advanced knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape maintenance standards, plant material, and installation best practices.

• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record as defined by company policy.
• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise in irrigation diagnostics, repair, and system troubleshooting.
• Backflow Certification required (or ability to obtain within designated timeframe).
• Proficiency with computers, mobile devices, and the ability to learn internal software and digital tools efficiently.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to lift, pull, push, bend, and stand for extended periods, including lifting up to 75 pounds and performing physical tasks for up to 10 hours per day.

This position requires the ability to drive or travel locally as operational needs demand. Work hours may vary and may include extended days and/or weekends. During snow operations, availability may be required during nighttime hours, weekends, and holidays. The role involves working outdoors in diverse and sometimes extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, sun, heat, or cold.
