Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Shipping/Receiving Lead at our Westfield, IN plant. The perfect candidate would be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is easily adaptable, is extremely detail oriented, and is excellent at multi-tasking.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to:

Area Manager. Direct reports:
Team members, up to 3 hourly employees.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of your team, the quality of your processes, and manage capacity to achieve on-time delivery and increase productivity
  • Provide daily leadership and training to the cell(s) to ensure customer demand is met
  • Ensure their team members are supplied with material to maximize productivity of the team member/cell
  • Drive continuous improvement and enhance the team spirit through the application of lean tools
  • Reinforce our lean vision and Dura Mark values
  • Provide coaching to team members to help them become technically competent
  • Take care of your team members (payroll, safety audits, tiered meetings, and recognition)
  • Deliver to your customer (create schedules, coordinate team(s), document issues and collect data for problem solving)
  • Ensure standard work is being followed and improve standard work through use of lean tools and visual management
  • Participate in the site-wide continuous improvement process by being part of kaizen events that are held in your area on a regular basis
  • Lead the tier 1 meeting for cell(s), attend and report out in the tier 2 meeting
  • Audit your processes (standard work, safety and quality procedures, product routings and BOM, and material flow)
Qualifications Education

High school diploma or GED

Experience
  • 1 to 3 years experience in Operations. Preferably has performed multiple jobs within a facility.
  • 1 to 3 years as a Shipping Group Leader managing a team of people
  • At least 1 year managing a warehouse and inventory.
  • At least 2 years experience with ERP systems.
  • Forklift certification a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and material handling
