About the Role

The Packer position plays a key role in ensuring products are packaged accurately, safely, and on time. This role supports daily production by preparing finished parts for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements. Attention to detail, consistency, and teamwork are essential, as this position directly impacts quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Packers work closely with supervisors and teammates in a fast-paced environment to meet production goals and maintain an organized workspace.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull materials as required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a packaging, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating basic packaging equipment or tools
  • Familiarity with inventory or shipping documentation
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping
  • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed
Key Responsibilities
  • Package products according to Standard Locknut standards and customer specifications
  • Inspect parts for quality and report defects or discrepancies
  • Safely operate packaging equipment and tools
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals
  • Accurately complete packaging, inventory, and shipping documentation
  • Identify packaging or equipment issues and escalate to supervision or maintenance as needed
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Effective communication skills for teamwork and issue resolution
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform packaging tasks throughout the shift
  • Organizational skills to maintain efficiency and safety
  • Basic technical skills to operate equipment and systems
