The Social Media Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing and supporting Cornerstone's social media initiatives. This role focuses on managing day-to-day social media activities and implementing content strategies aligned with client goals. The Specialist collaborates with internal teams to create engaging content, maintains brand consistency, and contributes to the performance of digital communication campaigns. Additional responsibilities include staying current with social media trends, utilizing data-driven insights to optimize campaign performance, monitoring market competitors' content, and providing support in client reporting and platform management.

  • Strategy and Process Optimization: Oversee the development and execution of content strategies, ensuring alignment with client objectives, industry trends, and best practices. Provide creative input on campaigns, promotions, and seasonal content. Execute social media plans that support lead count, brand development, and client engagement.
  • Execution and Results: Guide the development of paid and organic social media campaigns. Ensuring social calendars align with business objectives. Directly oversee social media account management (Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, Pinterest, etc.). Track social media metrics such as followers, engagement, reach, and clicks. Report insights and suggest improvements based on data.
  • Research and Development: Manage and stay current with R&D-related content and emerging trends, including competitor activity across platforms like Linked In, You Tube, and internal social networks. Develop, execute, and track social media campaigns that highlight R&D initiatives, discoveries, prototypes, patents, and milestones. Recommend and test new content formats and strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Serve as a liaison for cross-functional initiatives. Act as the main point of contact for social media strategy and provide expert guidance to clients on maximizing social impact.
  • Other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 3 or more years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work in an Agile, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong project management abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in social media management software and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook (Meta) Insights, Agorapulse).
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and project management tools, such as Wrike, is preferred.
  • Proficient in leveraging AI-powered tools and platforms to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills.
Working Conditions and

Physical Requirements

The job is usually performed indoors in a traditional office setting. The position is a hybrid in-office position, and standard hours of work and days are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The position is in the office Monday through Thursday, and the option to work remotely is available on Fridays. Occasional local travel may be required.

Activities include:

  • Extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor.
  • The ability to communicate orally with clients, candidates, management, and coworkers, individually and in front of a group, is crucial.
  • Regular use of the telephone and email for communication is essential.
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges are essential for everyday conversations, receiving ordinary information, and preparing or inspecting documents.
  • It requires good manual dexterity when using standard office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers/scanners).
  • No heavy lifting is expected; exertion of up to 30 lbs. of force (e.g., tablets, laptops, computers, office supplies) may occasionally be required.
  • The employee is required to bend and stoop.
