Overview
We are Bierman Autism Centers, a responsive employer dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families through ABA therapy. This role is a Behavior Technician/ABA Therapist focused on providing one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-12 with autism or other developmental and language delays. Our approach emphasizes natural play and teaching foundational skills such as self-advocacy and communication.

- Conduct 1:1 therapy with clients.
- Follow prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans.
- Collect and record data, and write therapy notes for each session.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress (with guidance from the BCBA).
- Assist the BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials.
- Attend required trainings to maintain and grow knowledge.
- Follow the guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Work towards becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), if not already.
- Foster a positive working environment and maintain good vibes.
- Must be able to lift and carry clients who are at least 30 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and perform quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan.
- Must be able to assume and maintain various postures for extended periods (kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, bending).
- Must be able to walk and run to chase clients and maintain a three-foot distance at all times.
- Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing.
- Must have manual dexterity for data collection and session documentation.
- Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication.
- Must be able to transfer written data to electronic files or databases.
- Must be able to work at a desk or on the floor for extended periods.
- Must be able to assemble, clean and maintain therapy space and materials.
- Must be able to administer medication to clients.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and be detail oriented.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet team and client needs.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Experience working with children ages 2-12 in classroom, day care, 1:1, or instructional childcare settings.
- Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis;
Educational or Allied Health background.

Description:
$17.00 – $20.50 per hour. Pay is competitive and based on qualifications and experience. Full-time employees are offered comprehensive benefits including Paid Time Off, 401k, health/dental/vision insurance, and short- and long-term disability options.
