PositionSummary
The Project Manager leads, plans, and controls all project resources to ensure successful outcomes for clients, teams, and partners. This role provides hands‑on leadership throughout the construction lifecycle, applying proven project management practices while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Success is measured by delivering projects safely, efficiently, and profitably while developing people and strengthening client relationships.
What You’ll Do- Lead projects from preconstruction through completion with full ownership of scope, schedule, and budget
- Drive thorough project planning that sets teams up for successful execution
- Manage project financials, forecasting, and cost controls to deliver predictable outcomes
- Anticipate risks and challenges and implement proactive, practical solutions
- Build, mentor, and lead high‑performing project teams through clear communication and accountability
- Foster strong client relationships through transparency, responsiveness, and consistent performance
- Champion safety and quality by setting clear expectations and leading by example
- Reinforce Thieneman’s vision, mission, and values in daily decisions and actions
- 5+ years of Project Manager experience on large heavy civil construction projects
- Experience in water/wastewater, concrete, excavation, and underground/exposed piping
- A people‑focused leader who values teamwork, accountability, and developing others
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

- Ability to work in a construction environment with exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind
- Regularly required to walk construction sites, climb ladders or stairs, and navigate uneven terrain
- Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed
- Frequent use of hands and arms for operating office equipment, tools, and technology
- Visual and auditory ability sufficient to safely perform job duties and communicate effectively
- Work may include extended hours, weekends, or travel as project schedules require
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel‑toe boots
