The Clinical Social Worker I is a licensed, experienced professional who is the clinical expert in the assessment and treatment of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and their families in a variety of inpatient and ambulatory settings in the Yale New Haven Health System. As the clinical expert, the scope of practice includes, but is not limited to, diagnostic assessment, counseling, psychotherapy, brief treatment, crisis intervention, mental health consultation, teaching/mentoring, and/or other project/task force participation as assigned by supervisor.

The clinical social worker will work collaboratively with members of the health care teams throughout the organization.

• Education:
  
  Master’s Degree from an accredited school of social work.
• Experience:
  
  Consistent with LICSW licensure requirements.
• Licensure:
  Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) from the State of Rhode Island, or other states with endorsement and meet RI requirements.
• Special
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to perform independently and provide clinical social work practice a health care setting. Computer experience and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and data entry systems.
