Overview

MD invites a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner to lead our urgent care clinic. The Lead Provider mentors new‑grad staff, assumes clinical leadership, and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories with a focus on short‑ and long‑term patient needs.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (x‑rays, ECGs, laboratory studies) and manage abnormal findings.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures (injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care).
  • Educate patients on health management, therapeutic regimens, and wellness through counseling.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and legible medical records; electronic sign EMR notes.
  • Uphold infection‑control policies and workplace safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with clinic providers to coordinate patient dispositions and transfers efficiently.
  • Lead the clinic in the Practice Manager’s absence; mentor new‑grad providers and clinic staff.
  • Stay current with medical knowledge through workshops, professional publications, and society participation.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree and active Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • DEA license with no restrictions.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
  • Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory practice preferred.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills; collaborative team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; confident, patient‑focused, and compassionate.
  • Proficient with EMR and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and relevant federal/state regulations.
