Instrument Technician

Westbrook, ME | M-F | Multiple Shifts | 5-Month Contract | $17/hr (W2)

Seeking an Instrument Technician I to support manufacturing and service operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and experience in equipment maintenance or manufacturing support. This hands‑on role involves assembling, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical components in a production environment.

• Assemble and test components/assemblies (electrical, electromechanical, mechanical)
• Perform preventive maintenance and document results
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions
• Conduct operational tests to ensure compliance
• Record procedures and results using Excel
• Support production teams and cross‑train across product lines
• Identify and communicate safety concerns
• Provide technical support; may serve as line lead

• 2+ years in manufacturing, maintenance, or technical assembly
• Electromechanical maintenance and repair experience
• Ability to interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages)
• Ability to interpret graphs and technical documentation
• Basic computer skills;
  Microsoft Office preferred
• Ability to work independently

• Prolonged standing/sitting
• Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Pushing/pulling carts and pallet jacks
• Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
