As a Front Office Associate, you will be responsible for providing services to patients and referring professionals by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and greeting and registering patients in a cheerful, professional, and sincere manner.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week: shifts are Monday through Friday, 10:00am - 6:30pm.
Responsibilities- Registration:
Greet and checks-in patients scheduled for imaging services; processes payments and copays as needed - Registration:
Answer phones and handles calls in an efficient and friendly manner - Registration:
Field phone calls appropriately for Center Team Members - Registration:
Act as liaison between imaging technologists and the patients waiting for exams, and relays messages regarding scanner status and other Clinic information - Registration:
Maintain organization of the front office lobby area by straightening magazines, organizing coffee supplies and assisting with general office cleanup - Registration:
Order office supplies as needed - Registration:
Maintain supply of patient information sheets - Registration:
Push patient imaging via electronic interfaces - Registration:
Complete patient appointment confirmation calls and provide preparation instructions to patients - Registration:
Fax/scan reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested

Arrange transportation, interpreters, and hotel accommodations for patients when appropriate - Scheduling:
Enter and submit patient exam orders - Scheduling:
Verify patient exam orders match exam schedules - Scheduling:
Schedule referrals and ensures proper authorizations are obtained - Scheduling:
Schedule walk-in patients - Scheduling:
Process requests for image orders and CDs from both the referring physicians and patients - Scheduling:
Maintain an up-to-date and accurate database of all current and potential referring physicians

Verify patient's insurance coverage - Insurance:
Pre-certify all patient exams with the patient's insurance company - Insurance:
Obtain insurance authorizations - Insurance:
Apply knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare) and procedures that require waivers to obtain pre-authorization, if needed, prior to patient appointments - Insurance:
Facilitate Release of Information (ROI) requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies following Company guidelines
5% Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
