Full Time/Nights (36 Hours Per Week)
For a limited time Maine Health is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 1-2 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience!
- Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
- Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
The Registered Nurse - Charge - Behavioral Health role assumes frontline leadership in the daily operations of the department and works collaboratively with departmental staff, physicians/advanced practice practitioners, hospital staff, pre-hospital providers and community agencies to provide oversight and direction for the delivery of safe patient and family centered care. Commonly treated diagnoses include:
- Depression
- Disruptive Behavior Disorders
- Emerging Psychotic Disorders
- Anxiety Disorders
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Substance Use Disorders
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. - License/
Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must complete within 30 days of start date. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Certification RN-BC preferred. - Experience:
Two years of relevant experience preferred, experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
