Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)
Long Term Futures are recruiting a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in Westminster, supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who present behavioural challenges and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is a long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity for someone experienced in behaviour support who is passionate about helping young people regulate emotions, improve conduct, and re-engage with learning in a structured secondary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour and SEMH support across KS3 and KS4
Support students with in-school behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement
Implement behaviour support plans and restorative approaches
Work closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff and teaching staff
Support pupils during lessons, interventions and unstructured times
Promote positive behaviour, resilience and inclusion
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience supporting students with behaviour and/or SEMH needs
Confidence working in a secondary school setting
A calm, consistent and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
Background in SEN, youth work, mentoring or pastoral roles (desirable)
