MD is seeking a dedicated EMT-B to join our growing healthcare team, delivering exceptional urgent care to patients across New England. This role offers a unique opportunity for EMTs to expand clinical skills, working closely with providers in a fast‑paced urgent care setting.
- Patient Interaction
- Engage patients professionally, providing information about medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications.
- Explain prescribed medications, including dosage instructions and potential side effects.
- Offer guidance on lifestyle modifications, preventive care, and follow‑up.
- Ensure patients understand their health status and treatment options.
- Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary evaluations, triage patients, and determine urgency.
- Perform basic clinical procedures: vital signs, history taking, and assistance with minor procedures.
- Document all patient information accurately in the electronic health record in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaboration with Clinical Team
- Effectively communicate patient information and updates to providers and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate on discharge plans and support new team members.
- Must work 12‑hour shifts in consecutive or non‑consecutive days.
- Full‑time: three (3) 12‑hour shifts per week, at least four (4) shifts per month on Saturday or Sunday.
- Part‑time: two (2) 12‑hour shifts per week, at least two (2) shifts per month on Saturday or Sunday.
- Per diem: four (4) 12‑hour shifts per month, ideally one shift each week.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work at a minimum of three (3) other Convenient
MD locations within a one (1) hour travel distance. - Required to travel for training shifts outside the primary clinic within a one‑hour commute.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Nationally certified and licensed EMT with at least one (1) year of experience.
- BLS certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS. CPR and ACLS certifications are not accepted.
- Compassionate and patient‑focused: Demonstrates kindness and understanding, contributing to a community of belonging.
- Proactive communicator: Clear and confident in written and verbal communication.
- Trustworthy: Maintains confidentiality and complies with HIPAA regulations.
- Team player: Enjoys collaboration with others.
- Technically savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems.
- 1–2 years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department.
Hourly Pay Range for this Position: $17.14 – $26.99 USD. Final compensation will be determined at the conclusion of the interview process.
