The Senior R&D Engineering Technician is responsible for developing methods to support the production and testing of new products. This role provides technical support for new product designs and processes, assists with product scale up, and contributes to design and product optimization.
This position will report to the Senior R&D Manager and is part of the Filtration R&D New Product Development Team located in Westborough, MA. This is an on‑site role.
What you will do:- Achieve R&D objectives by contributing technical expertise to the new product development team, driving successful fabrication and testing of advanced filtration products.
- Maintain an efficient laboratory by ensuring all required materials and equipment are available and in proper working order.
- Provide timely and concise technical updates to the R&D team and other key stakeholders.
- Minimum 5 years of Engineering Technician experience in product or process development (or 10 years in filtration manufacturing).
- Exhibits strong teamwork and exceptional self‑motivation, consistently demonstrating perseverance and a data‑driven approach.
- Possesses the ability to independently resolve general issues with minimal reliance on others.
- Ability to travel approximately 5% – domestic overnight(s).
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25 lbs.
- Testing of filtration devices in lab or MFG environment.
- >10 years of Engineering Technician experience in product or process development (or >15 years in filtration manufacturing).
The hourly range for this role is $35.58/hr to $43.27/hr; this range may be modified in the future.
This job is eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
