Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Westborough, Massachusetts. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to daily financial operations and ensure accurate recordkeeping. The ideal candidate will excel in managing deposits, auditing financial documents, and supporting departmental projects.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare daily deposit summaries and ensure accurate reporting.

- Organize incoming mail and sort checks for processing.

- Input daily transactions into the banking system with precision.

- Audit correspondence and send Over-spec letters to clients.

- Verify deposit details, including payee information, amounts, and account accuracy.

- Communicate with departments regarding billing adjustments and corrections.

- Compile and review various monthly activity reports for accuracy.

- Generate reports related to payments made to carriers.

- Support departmental projects by completing assigned tasks efficiently.

- Maintain organized records by filing and scanning essential documents. Requirements - Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

- Strong experience with Quick Books for financial management.

- Demonstrated ability to perform accurate data entry tasks.

- Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation.

- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial audits.

- Effective communication skills for notifying departments of necessary adjustments.
