This posting is for student teacher applicants who will be completing Clinical II FULL Student teaching in Spring 2027. If you have already applied to be a Spring 2027 Student Teacher in the TNTP program, you do not need to reapply.

The TNTP Program is the first in the state of New Jersey in which accepted student teachers for the program are compensated with a stipend of up to $10,000/semester to participate in the district’s student teaching program. In addition, student teachers also receive ongoing evening professional development sessions provided by WW-P throughout the semester. Upon the successful completion of the TNTP Program, student teachers will be required to submit an application for open district teaching positions.

Program participants will also have prioritized application review for contracted teaching positions in the WW-P school district.

This posting is designed for students planning to student teach in Spring semester for the  school year. Not all WW-P student teachers will be awarded entry to the program or stipend. Only student teachers who are accepted into TNTP, complete all requirements for participation, and complete an application to district vacancies will be eligible. Payments will be made by WW-P to the program participants in two payments during their student teaching (Clinical II) semester.

Please understand that WW-P student teachers are not considered district employees and will not accrue time towards tenure, or be enrolled in the Teachers’ Pension & Annuity Fund during their student teaching semester.

If your university is not accepting applications for Spring 2027 student teachers yet, WW-P will reopen this posting in August 2026 to allow another opportunity for students planning to student teach in the Spring to apply.
